My boyfriend's aunt is somewhat of a medium. I'm not sure how much to believe, but she told me that a young girl hanged herself in the basement of slim in Jimbos. I was wondering if anyone ever heard stories of such a tragedy. I tried to google search but nothing came up for it.

I have lived in Garrettsville my whole life. I grew up in my parents' house on Freedom Street, which is almost 200 years old. As a child I had many experiences in that home. I kept those experiences to myself (I'm 52) until a few years ago. It seems as though I am the only person that had those experiences. Most of them were NOT pleasant, especially as a child and teenager; I was scared to death. My Mom and sister just think I had an over active imagination, but I can tell you otherwise. The upstairs still scares me to this day.

My experiences were things such as talking and whispering conversations between several people (right in my room) when I was the only person in there at all hours of the night. There were several times when I was held down on the bed and couldn't move. I couldn't even scream. There is always a sense of a presence that just didn't feel good even to this day, specifically on the 2nd floor and in the walk in closet.
I heard many years ago that one of the previous owners passed away in that house, but I can't verify. I remember barricading myself in my bed with pillows and stuffed animals to feel safer. My sister currently stays on the 2nd floor while my Mother stays on the main floor. They haven't experienced anything to my knowledge.
