I looked into this massacre that the other person brought up, and it was pretty easy to find since there is only one associated with the entire Mahoning River. During the revolutionary war a group of soldiers rode out of a fort on the Cuyahoga River to investigate an alleged sighting of their enemies near the Pennsylvania border.
They came across a group of Lenape / Delaware people camped on the Mahoning River and for reasons unknown killed them

all to a man. The only source I was able to find neither says how many were killed nor where exactly along the Mahoning River this occurred, but I'll

take their word for it that it was at Leavittsburg, especially given what I have to say next because this filled in a lot of details for me.
When I was a toddler my mother was dating someone who lived at a house on either Park or Gillmer Roads. I can't quite remember which.
