The story we kids heard in Mason, Ohio dovetails well with another story on this site. We called the story ''lost little boy of Muddy Creek. '' Muddy Creek crosses under Brewer Road. A previous story here describes seeing a light come from the creek by Brewer Road.

The story as we heard it goes as follows. A little boy from a farm on Hamilton-Lebanon Road got lost in the 1920s and died in the elements. It was a fair day, but weather moved in and brought lots of snow and freezing rain. The little boy was out playing in the pastures and woods when the weather got bad. Now, I have heard two stories about why the little boy wasn't able to get back home in the storm. Story one is that he found a sheltered spot in the limestone banks of Muddy Creek, and he died of exposure to the wet and cold. The other story is that he was playing on the limestone banks and it collapsed on him and buried him alive.

It was said to have occurred in the fall. We often rode our bikes out to Brewer Road bridge to see if we could see any hauntings from the little boy. But, we never saw anything unusual. Submitted by Charles

My aunt lives near the building where this happened. She's very good friends with a man that works in the cemetery. My aunt one day was talking to the man and they somehow got on the subject of hauntings in the cemetery.
