Old children's home. It's torn down now, but at night kids play in the yard.

I grew up in a home on Mt Vernon Rd. When we first moved in you could hear someone walking up and down the attic stairs, and doors would slam. The swinging door that separated the living room from kitchen had swung viciously back and forth with no windows open for air to be coming through. Our dog would growl at nothing down the hallway with his hair on his back standing up.
I remember one specific time my little brother screaming when he was three saying some man came out the attic with red stuff dripping down his neck and face describing blood! Our landlord later told us the man in the duplex next to us killed the man in our duplex by cracking his skull in the swinging door downstairs! I always got chills in my house and felt the need to run from upstairs to downstairs like someone was there watching me every time.

When we lived down the street from our house now, it was a small apartment which my mom's sister rented out to us. Long before we had lived there, a woman in a wheel chair had lived there and the house caught on fire, still not sure if the woman lived or not.
But one day we went down to the end of the hallway where our closet was, we never used the closet because it was summer and all it held was winter jackets and balls for our tennis court. So I got in to get a ball to play with my neighbor and there was a black set of rosary beads that were looped and knotted around the bar of the closet. Neither me or my mom had seen them before. To this day I still have them hanging on my headboard of my bed .
