I grew up on Newells Run down below Beach Grove Church. There was a small grave yard; we found a baby's grave, it had a ball on it . We moved the ball to end of cemetery. The next day we looked; ball was back on the grave in the same place.

It was an early winter in 1977. I was driving North on Route. 7 just ahead on the right was the Dairy Isle. As I drove closer, I looked to my right and saw a young girl in a blue summer dress standing by the Ohio River and looking around as if looking for something. The weather had turned off cold, and this concerned me, so I pulled into the Dairy Isle parking lot and walked down to the river to check on her. As I approached, I asked her ''what was wrong?'' She said she was looking for a heart shaped locket she had lost. I asked if she needed me to help her. She had been looking at the ground the whole while.

I told her that she looked cold and asked her to go into the Dairy Isle with me to get warm. She told me she couldn't and that a man named Tom had given it to her. She said that he wouldn't come back to get her until she found it. She looked up at me and smiled and said ''Tom, it's you. You have came back to get me. I told that she was mistaken and that I wasn't Tom. She then asked me if I had seen Tom. I said ''no, I hadn't. '' I told her if she wasn't going to go get warm I would go into the Dairy Isle to see if I could at least get her a coat and to stay right there. I walked into the Dairy Isle and asked a young man behind the counter if there was a jacket or something lying around to give the girl in the blue summer dress down by the river. As I pointed toward her, he then walked over to the window, looked toward where I was pointing, and asked ''where is she at? There is no one out there. '' I then just left.
