Comment by timmy two ghosts: I believe you should just support it, I'm sure you'll know if it really needed help if it started to do things way more frequently. I had a ghost once, I just gave it it's space and it left me alone though I would talk to it and get a response occasionally.

I used to live on a corner house on Camp Street as a child back in the early 1980s. An old Victorian house. The upstairs was made into a separate apartment and I lived on the first floor. It had vent ducts on the floor with grates.
Big enough to fall into. The basement was divided into two halves. The 'heater' was a giant cast iron wood burner in the basement that sat in a dirt pit. My brother and I discovered a walled up hallway in the basement.
We accidentally broke through when playing and we knocked over a bench. We never followed the hallway all the way to the end but we went in enough to find chambers. One had an old rotten wooden bunk bed and another that could only be accessed by a small opening near the top of the ceiling.
