it. I told the kids that it was probably a family pet and didn't think about it anymore. I cleaned out all the dirt that was under the steps and found out that the crawl space went all the way under the steps. I decided to put the hinges back on the steps the way it was to begin with. I never thought anything more about it. We continued working on other rooms in the house.
We opened up the third floor and made it into a big game room for the

kids. It was then when all the noise and weird things started happening. We would get a lot of bats inside the house. You would think that they would

be on the third floor, but no they were on the first floor. I had a real good friend staying with me, and it scared the hell out of her. She always heard people walking when she went to bed. She never wanted to come down the stairs when nobody was up.
Anyway, back to fixing up the attic; we could tell that there was some kind of fire up there, but nobody ever told us about it. We put up new boards, paneled the ceiling, and painted everything white.
