I posted here last year when I saw something strange in the forest. On February 15th, 2022 I went back to that same place. I don't know why. I just wanted to see if anything was there. I instantly regretted it after. I could hardly walk anywhere through the deep snow. If something came at me, I wouldn't be running. I'd be fighting. I went to the exact spot I was at and didn't see anything unusual.

I was walking around this back section of the area when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Right on the corner of the forest there was a wooden cross. A small tree with a branch across it. There was a jar next to it. It was filled with some red material that looked like ground beef. It's so weird.

I got the feeling something was watching me, so I left, but I'm going to go back.

Comment by Chris: If I was right that, it's Native American in origin. Winter is generally the safest time of the year for that. Most natives believed speaking the names of evil spirits and things openly brought them down on you, but stories about those kinds of monsters could be told safely in winter for whatever reason. This thing would either be some sort of variation on the Wendigo, or it would be the ghost of a witch (at least someone who thought they were a witch when they were alive) taking the form of some sort of demon to terrorize people.
