The swamp located just outside of Shreve is said to be home to a horde of ghosts and darkness. The woods in the swamp used to serve as a purpose for devil-worship. My father was driving his car through the swamp one night when the engine blew and he started walking.
He saw a fire just ahead and when he got close enough to see that there were figures sacrificing a pig he ran like hell. It is said that there might be some devil worship in the Shreve swamps. Whether there is or not I do not know.

But one thing is for sure; you definitely can see light and movement through the trees on some nights.

I stayed with my grandparents in a house on old Shreve Rd. That is haunted. Every few days you could hear someone upstairs walking around. When you would go up to check it out no one would be there. The old landlord said that an old man was hung upstairs.
Men broke into the house and hung him. For what reason we were never told. The house was just sold to another family now. After my grandparents moved out no one moved in until now. I miss the old place and would love to know if the sounds still happen there.
The ghost never tried to hurt anyone just made a lot of sounds.
