The first time I've ever encountered a ghost close up was when I lived off this house on N. 8th. I kept having strange dreams and visions of a young man who looked like and early 1900s paperboy. I'd be walking to the bathroom, and this young kid would be blocking all this black behind him, which was the walkway that led to the attic. Usually as I'm in the bathroom, I'd hear a dog pacing back and forth in front of the bathroom door. There hasn't been a dog upstairs in that house for a long time.
I was cleaning the whole upstairs because it was trashed. Then one morning I woke up, walked to the bathroom, and saw a puddle of dog pee where the trash used to sit. I said ''hey! This better be cleaned up by the time I get out of the bathroom. I swear to god!'' I was in the bathroom for maybe five minutes, and when I looked at the same spot coming out, the puddle was gone. I never really made the connection of why I was always hearing dog pace in front of my bedroom door or bathroom and why this young kid was always around. Then one day I had just gotten home with my roommate's cousin, and we saw an older man with a golden colored dog sitting in front of this tree right in front of our house. The dog never looked at me, just the man, and he turned, nodded his head, and then started walking up 8th with his dog next to him, no leash. So she and I look at each other. As we turned back, which only took a couple of seconds, the man and his dog had vanished. I called him Dog-man ever since then.

I ended up moving a block away from the house on N. 9th into a house which has been known to freak people out. Not only was it known for its heavy traffic when the previous tenants lived there, my newer roommates have told me that they've seen ''Dog man'' in their room. He was seen with a trench coat on, peeking outside the windows. They had described him before I had even told them about this ghostly guy who followed me from one house down the block, but it was him.

Not only do I have him now, but I saw other figures and heard voices that I have recorded on my sister's phone. My boyfriend now is not a believer in spirits, but when he moved into my house, I told him, it's definitely haunted. He didn't believe me until two days of staying here. He came downstairs where most of the activity occurs and said ''okay, I know I said I don't believe in ghost, but now I'm starting to. '' I love this house because of this. The ghost makes it more fun when skeptics come in, then leave freaked out or won't come in at all.

When I was around 13 years of age my family lived in a stone house on South Garfield. We lived there only a year. The main floor of house was OK, but upstairs was not at all comfortable. The bathroom was upstairs. I was so creeped out. I wouldn't go up to the bathroom unless my mom was at the bottom of the stairs. Then I would run up the stairs to use the bathroom as fast as humanly possible. Then I would run back down the stairs.
