N Washington Boulevard is indeed haunted! We never had a dull moment in that house! And after my brother died we would hear an invisible car pull up in the driveway at 2 am as well! Definitely a ghostly hang out!.

My uncle had lived in a house in Camanche IA for many years. It was one of the houses to survive the tornado that destroyed Camanche years before and this house was used to lay out the dead and for the families to recover them.

As a little girl I would go over there with my dad and I was terrified to go into the bathroom there and go upstairs. I never went into the basement either. We would all hear footsteps and creaky floorboards but nothing would be there.

We have heard many things in our house ever since we moved here... It all started when I was about four years old. We were living in Clinton at the time and my father thought it would be best for me and my sister to go to Comanche schools ( That is where he went to school as a kid).So my parents are looking for a house and they come across the house my grandfather had built himself. I hadn't even been to the house yet my parents went alone without my sister and I. So when they get back from the house I say something along the lines of I have a new friend named hopes want to know things about her? She lives behind the brown house in the woods and rides the train.My mom thought um.. Well okay ill just let that go. So we finally move into the house and stranger things start to happen... My mom started to hear things... She would be in the basement doing the laundry, when she saw someone out of the corner of her eye walk into me ands my sisters playhouse and heard someone pouting.She asked '' what's wrong? '' my mom got no answer and the whimpering went on... My mom asked again ''what's wrong? '' again she got no answer so at this point she's mad. So she slams down the laundry basket walks over and yells ''what's-'' but she did not get to finish because no one was there! So my mom hurries upstairs and tells my dad what just happened...Of course he did not care he just acted like it was nothing. This happened to my mom a lot she would see things out of the corner of her eye... And she would hear things like mom! There was another time every one was asleep and my mom was laying in bed awake.My sister and I used to share a room so the extra room that is now my sister's room used to be our toy room. Any way my mom was laying in bed and she heard a crash. So she went to the toy room... Which we were playing Polly pockets earlier and we had cleaned up everything and put it all on the shelves.But when my mom looked into the toy room there sitting perfectly in the center of the room was the Polly pocket's mall we were playing with earlier. It was not broken or any thing it was like someone set it down gently even though there was a crashing sound.My sister who did not even know how to spell her own name yet was writing h-o-p... And That is all the farther she got because my mom took the marker and yelled ''hopes get out of my house! '' that apparently did not stop hopes though! Still to this day you can hear whimpering or laughing from a little girl and sometimes things are misplaced.It's not enough to scare us though, the thing is I did not know my cousin had a ''friend'' too named ''hope'' now That is not that far from hopes right? Sometimes things get turned on when they aren't supposed to like water hoses...She is a playful little spirit who obviously is sad that I do not play with her any more... I guess that why I hear crying Al the time... I hope you think this story I told you was true ... Because it is...Now if you think I am making this up here's a question for you... Why would I waste my time writing this if it was not true. -jordan .
