I didn't feel threatened but I asked my friend what was going on. He said it was the host... gg..host.. what ghost I asked. My friend eventually moved out of the house and the house was torn down in the 1980s.

There is a big white house on 18th Ave. and north 3rd St. which is sort of gothic looking. It was once known as the Cotton House. It had one door on the side, apparently to the basement which we would avoid as little kids -- We apparently watched too much of the Andy Griffith Show - Haunted House Episode. A family of lawyers lived in it later on in the 1970s. The mother got up in the middle of the night and claimed she saw a woman in white materialize in a doorway or hallway. They later moved out. It's essentially a nice big old house, but it kind of reminds you of the money-pit. It costs an awful lot to heat.

I currently work at Eagle Point Nursing Home. The buildings were formally part of the Shick Hospital, the back hallway (east) has had many sightings of soldiers then tended to stick to one end of the hallway which happened to have a lady living in a room that used to be a model who visited the soldiers in the 40s. Creepy.
I will also hear a walker clopping down the hallway with no one around, call lights go off in empty rooms, alarms not in use will go off with no one around.

Comment by Bonnie: I worked there when it was Borden Manor. The break room was in the middle section. We would hear all kinds of things there.
