When my uncle was a boy he lived in Clinton Iowa. He told me that Clinton has a curse on it. He told me it was the curse of the bubble - head ghost. A very mean old woman put the curse on Clinton many years ago.
Then she died and the bubble - head curse remains to this very day. I think maybe the mean old woman was some kind of a witch who did not like anyone.

Comment by John: I do believe that Clinton must have a curse put upon it. So many old buildings in this historic town have been demolished in the name of progress, but how much progress has been made there?.
