I lived in a house off Gaines and 13th Street. I would see orbs and shadow figures. Lights would power on and off. I saw multiple spirits in the house. I always felt like I was being watched when I pulled up in front of the house. At night you could hear footsteps in the attic and something jiggled the attic door, but I never was brave enough to go see what was up there at night. Me and my family would wake up with bruises, and I saw one of the spirits' face to face twice. She was a curious girl and seemed like she wanted to be seen. One time I saw her in the mirror of the bathroom and the other in my bedroom at night when I was woken and paralyzed by the spirit and could not move, but I could see her and what she was doing to me. I will never forget her face or what she did to me that night.

We used to live in a duplex on the corner of 15th and Gaines. According to my family, that house was pretty active. We had lived there for a number of years, and I had managed to go a majority of those years without seeing anything. Until one night I was about 14 or 15, it was nighttime, and all the lights in the house were off. I was the only one awake on my laptop. We had this 4x5 entryway. Out of habit I looked up at it and saw a shadow standing in the doorway. Because the lights were off, I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me.
However, I was skeptical and continued to stare. That's when the shadow separated from the others, like when you see the outline of something solid in the dark. I didn't know what to do and kind of drew my knees up to my chest before I mustered enough courage to jump up and turn on the light. For a split second after I had turned on the light, someone peeked around the corner at me before disappearing completely. Scared. The. Hell. Out. Of. Me!.
