We built our home twenty years ago in West Des Moines. It was built on farmland. My children and I started to notice strange things happening within a couple of years of moving in. Little things that happened were doorknobs turning, doors opening, things turning on or off, sounds, open cupboards, and paper messes. Most of the time we thought someone else in the family did it. We have also heard things like footsteps, the doorbell, and the knocking.

What scared me most was the doorbell ringing. It happened frequently in the middle of the night and occasionally in the evening. At first I thought it

was kids, but it was no one.
For a while I thought I was hearing things. It scared me multiple times because I was wide awake, and the doorbell rang in the middle of the night, and I knew what I heard. I was alert. The one thing that really got to me was one time when I was in bed, and I was exhausted after having a baby. I was asleep and woke up to hearing what sounded like someone talking in tongue and then singing.
