In the late 1990s I rented a house in the country about 2.5 miles south of Ft. Defiance Park (the way the crow flies). One Sunday night I went to bed early and was having trouble getting to sleep. Suddenly out of nowhere a very bright ''spiraling shaft'' of light appeared in the window which faced west. It came beaming through the bedroom, and when it hit the walk-in closet (the closet door was open) it lit up the closet. I cannot describe how bright

the closet was in comparison to the ''spiraling shaft'' of light. I would say the shaft of light was 4'' to 6'' in diameter. It was brighter than an LED

flashlight. Then the spiral shaped 'shaft' disappeared.
From start to finish it lasted about five seconds. It was like time stood still. I don't know how else to describe the time aspect of it. It was 100% silent the entire time. This house is out in the middle of a field with a half mile long driveway. There is absolutely positively no way it could have been produced by man. Covering the window on the inside were dark green vertical blinds,
