My husband and I moved to town a year before we got married and rented the house on Lyon Street. From the time we moved in, strange things occurred. The house is near railroad tracks, and I attributed many of the occurrences to effects of the passing trains. As time went on, this could not explain everything. The light in our bedroom started turning on and off, then it suddenly went out. (Yes, I changed the bulb without success. ) My cat, who had lived in six

other places with me, started staring into the corners at the ceiling and howling as if in pain. This was the only place she did this.

first year she ran away and never returned. The lights in the kitchen would flicker at random times. It would only be one of the lights in the chandelier. Once when in the kitchen with my mother, it happened. I got frustrated and said ''would you just stop?'' The light then came on and stayed on. In the last month we lived there activity increased. I was sitting on the couch and looked out the front window to see a county sheriff pulling in the driveway.
