I lived in Plainfield for 35 years on the northwest edge of town along hwy 188. About 15 years ago my son who likes to go running at night because he works nights went out for a run along hwy 188 about midnight.
He wasn't gone for very long and he came running back all out of breath. I laughed and told him he looked like he had seen a ghost. He said that he had. He said he was almost to the park and he saw what appeared to be an Indian.
He stopped

to really look and said the Indian suddenly appeared closer and then it appeared about 10 feet in front of him. That's when he came running full speed
|
back home. He never went running in that direction again.
It is said that there used to be an Indian campground out where the park is.
