Years ago I lived in an old farmhouse with old buildings/barn/corncrib about four miles west of Rolfe, IA. It was a century old farm that sat empty from 1983 until 1991. I moved in with my two boys. A lot of junk sat around off to the side of the fence and corncrib. A couple of old broken down vehicles from the 40s and 50s were parked out there from the original owners of the farm. The cars were surrounded by a grove of trees. When we first moved in

the house we would hear car doors slamming shut especially during the summertime. Because the house had no A/C we kept the windows open for a breeze.

There were no neighbors around for miles.
We'd hear the car doors squeak open and slam shut, and an old man hollering and shouting. It was always around 11pm at night. It spooked us because we thought someone had pulled in the driveway. However, every time we looked out at the driveway there would be no visitor in the driveway. One night my 15-year-old son went out to the grove with a flashlight because we couldn't find our dog that day. He came
