About 15 years ago we lived in Sioux City on summit and 19th St. The house was build by and for Arthur Sanford. The home is a large solid brick house with 2 stairways, a formal one near the front door and a back one near the back door and kitchen.
After we moved in we started hearing nightly footsteps coming up the back steps and toward the hall and the main bedroom. At first we used to get up and check on the doors and always found our sons

asleep and no one in the stairwell or hall.
We got used to the footsteps and figured out that they were obviously made by a man as they were heavy
|
slow and precise. We never had an visual occurrences until we had a house sitter stay and watch our home and sons while we were out of town.
We had warned the sitter about the footstep sounds but the sitter stated that the bedroom door was open and in walked or floated an older man's head, just the head surrounded in mist. She was so scared she called the police to investigate.
Another person who got a glimpse of our ghost was my dear mother-in-law.
