A friend of mine says he saw a ghost in the river. I told him he's crazy but he insisted that he had seen a Native American man rise from the waters and take off into the sky like a rocket. My friend is not a liar or a story maker but I'm afraid he might be crazy.
Has anyone else seen a man fly out of the river. Please post if you have. Thank you.

Comment by Rose: That is very interesting but to tell you the truth I am not surprised, I am sure things like that have happened. I would really like to know where this experience was! Was is down by the boat landing or out on the small island past the railroad tracks? I think it is amazing that he is said to have seen a Native American, this area was home to many.
The Sioux were a major tribe in the area and most of Minnesota, more ironically Dakota is the Sioux name for friend. For the natives to name a place after so kind of a topic they must have thought very highly of the land.
If they thought of the area so highly why would they want to leave? Thank you for sharing, I would love to know more!.

Comment by Anonymous: I lived in Dakota my whole life and went everywhere I liked, going to the top of the hill and going to the cemetery, but I didn't feel like I was being watched or anything. However, today I'm going up there to see. Anybody who is reading this comment please let me know by replying if you've seen anything in Dakota, MN.
