I attended Eveleth School from kindergarten to graduation. As early as I can remember there was a heavy sadness that seemed to follow me once I was in the area of the auditorium. We used to watch concert rehearsals there with the whole school in attendance. A few times I recall looking up into the sound room area in the back of the auditorium and saw a young girl looking down at me with long blonde hair and seemed to be so sad.

Another time I remember walking by the auditorium by myself when curiosity got a hold of me and I peeked in, and there she was sitting in the middle of the center row all by herself. I froze with fear just long enough for her to look back and stare me straight in the eyes. I was close enough to her this time to see that her face was tear-streaked.

I got closure with my childhood ghost ''friend'' after I went up to the red room where a young pregnant teenager supposedly hanged herself after her football star boyfriend dumped her in the early 1940s-50s. I definitely felt her presence there. I had a strong sense her name was either Mary or Claire? And what do ya know- every story I have heard about her, she was blonde and crying.
