A man fell off a boat on Lake Minnetonka in the 1980s and drowned. If you sail by the spot where he drowned you can sometimes see him struggling to stay afloat and then he disappears.
He doesn't sink he just vanishes. The spot is right in the middle of Excelsior bay. I have only seen him once but that was enough to freak me out completely. Since the time I saw him I have been avoiding that spot.
