My parents and I have discovered a ghost in our house. We contacted a psychic to come over and see what was going on. When the psychic came over she said that his name was Bill, and he died in our house. Later that day he started messing with our lights and cupboards. A couple of days later we called a priest. We told him that Bill had left 3 scratches on my leg and my mom's hand in the same pattern. The priest never ended up coming. He still lives with us to this day, and he moves my door at night. He hasn't caused anymore physical harm.

I remember when I was younger that I used to hear footsteps and creaks outside my bedroom door. This resulted in my fear of the dark, and we all know what elementary aged kids do when they're scared in the night; you go find your parents. I'd bother them constantly about seeing ''a man'' or a monster watching me. I came running to them whether I was using the bathroom or playing outside. It got to the point where I had to be babied into being anywhere alone, which brings us to the home alone stories.
As a preteen, I took my new responsibility pretty cool. I'd lock the doors and stay up late messing around on 90s electronics. That was around the time my paranoia of being alone in the dark resurfaced. I'd swear to my parents over the phone that there would be someone in the house with me. They'd sigh and be like ''we'll be home in 15.'' On difficult nights I'd hear conversations upstairs and heavy movement in the attic. Once I had called up a greeting only to be chased off by booming steps charging at me from the hallway by the stairs. I don't hear it much anymore; then again as a young adult I've learned to block out what I don't want to hear.
