My mom and I have had a lot of experiences with ghosts at one of our old houses down by a lumber yard. One night, my mom was outside putting our dog back into her kennel. When she was walking back to the house she heard a noise and turned around. When she turned around she was facing an older man with a long black coat that reached the bottom of his feet. He had hard heavy boots on, and his face was covered. All you could see was his glowing eyes. My

mom just stood there. The man waved her goodbye, walked away, and disappeared into thin air.
Another time, my mom was coming upstairs from our

basement, which is where we used to do our laundry. It is said that a man and a woman hanged themselves in that very basement. I have never trusted myself to go down there, even with someone. It was too scary, too dark, and too cold. You lost your breath so easily. Anyway, when she was coming up the stairs, she felt this sharp pain run down her back, spine, and hips. She said it felt like someone hit a pressure point and just stabbed her so quickly that it
