I would like to share my story about a house in Kenyon, MN. Many years ago when I was about six or seven years old, my parents were looking for a new house. It was out in the country. There were some old cow and machinery barns in the back, and the house was more towards the front of the property with a big tree near the house. We had been looking at a house not far from this one before the realtor insisted we look at this one that was also for sale

at the time.
It was my mom, my dad, my two younger brothers, and my older sister. When we got there my brothers and I ran around the yard exploring

things but eventually followed our parents inside. I remember entering a door that led into the kitchen. There was a door that led down to the basement, and a few feet from that door was a staircase that led up into a larger room, which I believe used to be slave quarters. I remember a sense of unease as we entered the house. We were led around the house onto the porch which was screened in at the time.
