The Carver county history center will also be of help to you since they are currently (jan 2012) hosting an exhibit that highlights the history of treaties of the Native Americans. The us government has broken many of these treaties with the native tribes over the years.
Breaking a treaty is bad news and sometimes brings curse-like consequences on the people who occupy the land. Hope this was helpful. Submitted by Sryte

I was driving to wal-mart with my 17 year old brother Mike and on the side of the road there was this old crumpling adobe one room house in the darkest part of trees. Mike stopped the car and turned into the forest.

''what are you doing! ? '' I raised my voice. ''just seein' this stupid house. '' Mike answered carelessly. I slammed the door and followed him. My stomach was churning. I felt an extremely agonizing pain in my ankle. ''owwww!!! Oh my god!!! Mike!!! '' I shreiked and Mike rushes over as I pull up my jeans. A 7 inch long gash and about 2 inches deep was spread across my ankle. Mike started freaking out on me about how I did this.
I kept saying I didn't do anything and all of a sudden we heard a scared voice of a little girl. We looked at the house and a faded ghost little girl with brunette hair and a white night gown was standing in the decaying doorway.
