People talk about a Native American ghost that drowned in the lake and hear her screaming at night. I've fished out there before but never at night no way. That's all I've got for ghost stories.

An Indian maiden drowned in the Spirit Lake many many years ago. Her spirit still haunts there apparently.

In the Menahga Cemetery not all people rest in peace. I walk through that cemetery every day, and every once in a while I see ghosts -- men in top hats and bloody veteran uniforms. I live in Menahga, and I know that it is very haunted.
