to us, and we are only putting what we remember into a memory. Like a puzzle. We tried to see what it was while we were at the house. We came up with that it was a ghost truck. Submitted by Erin

I was walking at around 3 in the morning to go buy some food at Wal-Mart. I passed the lake and heard a strange groaning coming from the water. I shrugged it off and kept walking, assuming it was some animal.
|
When I finished shopping, I walked back the same way as before, but this time the groaning was louder. I tried to walk faster but something was making my movements slower and foggier. I turned around to go a different way, but something made me change my mind about going home.
|
I walked to the lake to check out the weird noises, and unlike when I tried to walk any other direction my movements were not slowed down. When I got to the edge of the lake I stopped moving and dropped my shopping bag.
I kneeled onto the ground to get a closer look. I saw the face of a woman who looked about 30. However, it was hard to see her very closely because she was barely transparent and the ripples of the water distorted the image. A few seconds later, I felt hands on my neck suffocating me and trying to drag me down into the water. I pushed myself off and grabbed my bags and ran back home. I woke up the next morning with red marks all over my neck.
