A few years ago my mom was working at a retirement home. She and a couple coworkers worked the night shift. When she came home the next day of previous night she was freaked. She told me that it was definitely haunted.
She said that wheel chairs moved with no one pushing them. A client screamed at his trophies be moved around. You could hear footsteps and other stuff. I don't know if this is true or not true but she genuinely scared something you cannot fake.

Whenever we drive past it though I think of the stories.

I've always lived in Monticello. As a small child I never thought of my house being haunted for it was only made in the year 1999. Only one other family has ever lived in it, and before it was a house it was a crop yard. I still live in that house now. But in the years 2011, 2012, and 1013 we had a problem. This problem wasn't mice or rats. This problem was beyond the grave. Ghosts were living in our house. These ghosts wouldn't show themselves, but they would make many strange noises.
One night when nobody was awake but my mother the ghost decided it wanted to spook her, so it crawled up her. She was half-asleep, and it was crawling on her legs when she thought it was the cat. When she tried getting it off she felt nothing. Other times for me I would always hear soft knocks in my closet, and it would scare me so much. I wouldn't want to get out of bed in the morning to go to school. But the worst part of it was that we had a Ouija board in the basement. When we got rid of the board our lives changed. The ghosts had left the house and since then nothing paranormal has happened, and we can live our lives without fear.
