My daughter lived in a haunted apartment on campus there where the ghost of a young girl would hide her stuff. Wake her up and hated the bathroom door shut. If you shut the bathroom door it would shake violently until you opened it. I had it happen to me when visiting.

I went to UM Morris from 1987-1989 prior to going to the main U. We had a girl on the floor of Clayton A. Gay Hall when I was a freshman who wanted to do the Ouija board one night. After a bunch of failed attempts to reach a spirit, a very specific rhythm emerged from those with their hands on the pancetta, and it announced that its name was 'DQ' and said that it was a ghost that was 'pushed' during HFA construction.

The final message was 'HUG HFA. ' The group of us freaked out walked over despite it being almost midnight on a school night and walked up to the doors of HFA even though we knew they would be locked. We rattled the doors, and they were indeed locked, and then the door popped open. We all lost it, but it turned out to be a security guard. For unknown reasons, he let us all into the building (or left the door open a crack, I don't recall. ) We each wandered around the building. I went into a dark room in the basement where the art history classes were held and felt an overwhelming feeling come over of me of fear and got out there.

I recall that the person with the Ouija board destroyed it a few days later after finding local records that someone indeed did during construction when they fell. However, I can't confirm that. If you try to contact DQ, please tell him or her to go to the light.

I lived in Pine Hall, a small dorm on campus my freshmen year. We would always hear jokes about ''Marbles the Ghost'' which was a legend upper class men made up to explain the banging in the old radiator pipes at night.
