I just thought maybe he was somewhere else. We played for three hours and then we all walked home. When I got home I told my mom about the car still parked there. She said don't worry about it.
But the next day we went back again and the car was still there. We played and went home. Again I told my mom about the car. But this day she decided to call the police. The police came and found the man.
He shot himself in the car. I was always glad

I never went up to the car to look in the windows. The man was from out of town his wife had left him and he decided that he would end his life at the

ball park.
I was the last person that he saw. I still remember his smile as he sat by the tree. But for several years now during the month October if you go to the Sleepy Eye park you can see this man in his plaid red shirt red baseball cap and blue jeans sitting up next to that same big tree.
He causes no trouble he just sits there and takes his final nap. Many of people have seen his man justing sitting there. As you approach him he just vanishes.
