I am a student at Butte High. My friends and I usually visit an abandoned house out in Basin Creek, which we refer to as Witch's Circle. Once, visiting the house at night, my friends and I heard a series of taps that sounded like Morse code coming from the basement. Thinking it was some animal, we continued on. I had borrowed a thermal heat detector from my uncle, and we were searching for something that seemed like ghosts in the house. As we climbed the

stairs, a new redness appeared on the screen, just behind us. I turned around quickly, and it disappeared on the screen, now behind us again. Stupidly,

we continued.
We went upstairs and saw no more ghosts. Then one of my friends and I decided to venture downstairs. Once we were down there my friend's phone died, eliminating one of our flashlights. Then with just my phone, we saw a large metal object that was against the wall fly across the room. Suddenly my phone and heat detector went crazy. Then they shut off completely. We called out to our friends to find where the stairs were, but no one answered.
