I'm an avid outdoorsman, and I know the fishing and hunting areas in the bitterroot Valley very well, I have lived here for many years. There is a ghost that I have seen a number of times in the past 5 or 6 years in the area of roaring lion and sawtooth creeks.
The ghost is seen to observe hikers and backpackers in the area, but seems especially interested in fishermen. Especially flyfishermen. The ghost approches rather closely at times, then vanishes. This ghost does not seem to be menacing, but becomes agitated when people ride horses into the area.

Some people think that this is a ghost of a former heavy equipment operator who once lived in the Hamilton area. This ghost has been seen by quite a few people.
