I have lived in Havre for most of my life, and I spend my time walking on the nature trail. One night my dog got out, and I knew he loved going up to the trail and sniffing around. It was very late at night, so I used a flashlight when I got on the trail. I started yelling Walter's name, and in the distance could see a figure coming toward me. I started walking closer to it because no one would be out on the trail at this hour.
At this point I was on the long dirt gravel stretch, and the small figure was moving closer. I could hear Walter panting and see him moving closer. Then I felt a lick on the back of my hand which spooked me. I turned around, and Walter was behind me. He was shaking very bad and was covered in dirt and had a scratch on his left ear. When I turned around the figure was gone, but Walter wouldn't stop barking in that direction. I don't know what was up there that night, but I refuse to walk on that trail again. My wife even divorced me because of this decision. I miss you, Linda.

Havre Eagles Club in basement about 4:30 am had cigar smoke blower in my face. No one else was in the building but me. We have also had cold spots at times.

While attending what was then called northern Montana college, I lived in an older home that had been converted into three apartments. People that had lived there before joked about a spirit that they called the judge.
