Many times, while my sister and I were home alone, we would hear noises from the upper level, footsteps, furniture moving around, and sometimes faint voices, even footsteps running up and down the stairs.
My sister and I were terrified, we thought that there might be a bum or hobo living in the up-stairs, we told our dad, and he went up and looked around, he said there was no sign of anyone being up there.
This went on, and tormented my sister and

I for several years. A few years later, my dad finally remodeled the upper portion of the house. In a part of the attic that we hadn't known about before,

was a small, locked room that we found a child's bed in, a few toys and other things.
My dad also found a birth certificate and a death certificate of a child, who's family had lived in the house in the 30's. We believe that the ghost that terrified my sister and I was the ghost of this child.
After my parents remodeled the upstairs, the haunting stopped. My sister and I are both married and live in other towns, but when we go home, we are still nervous
