It was a bright sunny day in Valley City, North Dakota at 8:30 am. I had just arrived at my job to open the store and get ready for the day. I was standing at the cash register preparing the till for the day. After that I would be unlocking the doors. I was all alone in the store. The only lights that were on were by the till. The building is a well known mall in the city which has always been known as being an eyesore and an architect's major faux-pas.

The building is large and dimly lit with many levels of rooms. The building itself was always scary inside especially when you had to go into the dark
|
basement to turn on the lights. As I was preparing the till suddenly, I saw a creepy little man shuffle slowly from the east side of the upper level of the store to the west side, and then disappear!
I unlocked the door, let myself out, relocked the door, and went to the nearby second-hand store to look for help. I asked an acquaintance to come back with me to unlock the door and look for the little man. Then when we turned on the lights in one
