When I was like six or seven I went to a carnival. I do not really remember where we were and never talked about it, but it was almost by my home town Eagle Butte. Anyway, what I remember was that we were camping out because we were also attending a powwow. We only camped out for two days, and on the last day my mom let me go run around the carnival. I do not remember how I met this other boy my age. We ran around the carnival and powwow together.

He was fun, so I played with him. He had torn up shoes and kind of hairy legs for a little boy (ha-ha) and a green shirt with a couple of holes in it.

He had black straight hair that was not braided.
We got on all the carnival rides for free. He and I just got on any carnival ride we wanted. Then when everything was over, and everyone was going home the boy said ''is it time for you to go home?'' I looked at him, and I said ''yes but I'm waiting for my mom to call me over. '' The boy said ''now I'm just going to have my mom and my dad. '' I did not know what he meant, so I did not say anything.
