I lived in a house on Birch Street as a kid in the late 70s, and my house was very haunted. My name was called regularly, and I would constantly see an image of a woman in a flowing dress passing through doorways or in my room. She was never threatening but more of a comforting feeling, unless you were my sister that got pushed out of bed, lol.

Good luck with getting any sort of evidence that will sway the average person to believe you. The good news is that I have never been attacked during a sighting of one. I grew up in a house that is almost 200 years old.
My siblings and myself saw things like this all the time. It went from something that scared us to being an every day thing we saw. Over the years I have wondered about what it is that we really saw in the house we grew up in.
I have read about theories of rips between ours and another dimension, accidental collision of two plains, basically someone opened a window or door and we got a peek. Yeah I think that is far fetched too.
