When I finished my term paper my classmate offered to give me a ride home but I refused and decided to hang around till closing. Even though my gut said to just go home. I had smoked a cigarette before I started walking and began remembering the spooky conversation I heard earlier.
Once I left I could hear my conscience telling me to walk the main road down Fifth into Haines Avenue. Which would have been smart seeing as I live on the corner of Haines

and Van Buren just nine blocks from the school.
Instead I took the scenic route down North 3rd Street by Tuscany Square cross the railroad bridge

behind Prairie Market and crossing through the park by the boys club and the Journey Museum up to the backstreets of the my neighborhood.
These areas are all primarily in complete darkness at night. I crossed through Police Plaza and headed down N. 3rd Street towards the railroad tracks that cross on Omaha near Tuscany Square. The ominous feeling grew from a creepy feeling to damn near freight by time I got to the railroad bridge.
