It was built in the late 1800s (correct me if wrong) by Charles Goss. He had six sons, all of which died before the Goss had even begun to be built. While being built his only daughter Annie and her twelve-year-old autistic son were living on the third floor. The opera room was being renovated and Annie was afraid that her son was going to fall into it because he kept running around it. She told him to stop, and he went into a rage throwing his gas latern at her. She burst into flames and died in her room. This room commonly called Annie's room was never repainted, so you can still see the scorch marks which I will include. After realizing what he had done, her son hung himself from the catwalk above the stage. The workers and owners of the Goss have seen shadows, heard footsteps, and the hallway to Annies room has a very awful vibe. The Goss was originally supposed to be a hotel, but after Annie and her sons death Charles sold the building. . - Ghost picture submitted by Josh Comment by Christine: Goss's only daughter was Emma. The boys all passed away along with his first wife in Wisconsin before he moved to Watertown. He built the Goss, but it burned down, so he built it again. In the 30s, 40s, and 50s the place fell into ill repair and was a boarding house for people of lesser means. Annie and her son were among them. He was an adult, and he did indeed set his mother on fire in that room. It was not touched during the restoration which began in 2008.
