I remember there was this one night I was staying with my dad and his wife's grandpa had just died. Her grandpa loved cardinals. He would spend hours outside every day looking for them. He was obsessed.
On the 4th of July we saw this cardinal and it came so close to us we were able to touch it. Wild birds aren't usually like that but this bird was different. Me and my step-mom went in the backyard and the cardinal followed us.
It stared at us.

That night the cardinal sat perched by our window. We closed the blinds and locked all the doors. The next morning we found the cardinal sitting inside

grandpas favorite lamp. We opened the door and tried to get him outside.
He sat there on the lamp. Then once we shut off the lamp the bird flew out the door. We never saw the bird again but later that evening we found out why. My grandma called and said there were some unusual cardinal sightings, but the interesting part my grandpa was the spirit inside the bird.
After he left our house he went to my grandma and somehow found a way into her
