I lived on 14th Street in Milwaukee just south of Layton in a two-flat. For about three years (ages 6 - 9) I would wake up every night and hear footsteps heading down the hallway to my bedroom, and after what felt like ages but was probably a minute at most the form of a young woman would take shape in the doorway of my bedroom. I knew she was young, and she wore an old fashioned dress with some sort of apron around her waist. At that point I would hide

under my blankets and hide until I fell back to sleep.
While I was terrified I can't say I felt threatened. Also the apparition apparently started

when I was actually younger than 6. As an adult I was talking to my mom about what I experienced. My mom said she remembered when I showed her the ghost. I was 4 or 5 and sat up in my bed (my mom was lying down with, and I said ''Mommy look at that lady. '' I was shocked, so I asked my mom to describe what she saw, and it was the exact description of what I had seen so often.
