I have lived in Monroe for most of my life, and I can tell you that three of the houses I lived in there are haunted. The house my parents own and live in is haunted. I grew up with the feeling of being watched. In the middle of the night you can usually hear loud heavy footsteps going down the steps. A man was watching my sister and I sun bathing from my old bedroom window. My parents remodeled the house. They now have their bedroom in my old room,

and they now have both confessed that the place is haunted. As an adult I stayed the night and slept on the sofa. I woke up gasping for air and being

held down. I looked up and saw a figure above me.
My husband, my daughter, and I moved to a farm close to my parents. Again I felt like I was being watched at all times. One time I was folding clothes and my four-year old sat down and her voice got very deep, and she called me a bad name. I said ''what did you say?''
