I often do trout fishing whenever I get a chance to. I had an experience during the summer of 2009 on the Mecan River near the town of Dakota. I was out on the river near a small bridge by what appeared to be some kind of summer camp place. It was just down the road. There was also a house up the road near the bridge on the left. The location was a little way down on 11th Road off of Cypress Road. It was approaching nightfall, and I was heading back

to my car wading in the middle of the river trying to catch a trout before I packed up and left.
There I was standing in the river probably about

fifteen to twenty feet from the metal pipe under the bridge. Then I heard a voice from the woods to my left loudly say ''boo'' in a really deep voice. Now this may sound like a cliché ghost noise, but I know what I heard. It definitely was not an animal of any kind. It scared me. I looked all around me and did not see anyone or anything. I was alone. In my fear I immediately mimicked the voice to the best of my ability and responded to it by saying
