My house was haunted to begin with, and I seem to have brought in more spirits by accident.

I was at my friend's house a couple of years ago, and he claimed that his attic was haunted. We went up there, and it has a weird feeling and energy to it, but I played it off like it was nothing and didn't believe him. Later that night when I was sleeping on the couch in his basement his three cats kept making noises running up and downstairs.
When the cats were all downstairs on my friend's bed we heard really loud thumping coming from upstairs, as if something heavy fell and crashed on the ground. None of us had the courage to even go near the steps to see what it was. However, a few minutes later we heard the basement stairs start creaking as if someone was coming down. We thought it was my friend's mom, so we called her name but got no answer.
When the creaking stopped I shined the flashlight of my phone over at the stairs, and I saw absolutely nothing. A freezing cold chill came over me. Then I asked my friend ''why is it so cold?'' Right when I asked that question I turned my phone towards him, and all three of the cats were staring at me with their ears back.
