I just moved to Whitewater this past October. My single family home on James St. was haunted. The first thing that happened was that one night.. it was completely silent. My children were sleeping and very distinctly I heard a man's voice go ''shh'' really long and loud.

There is no mistaking what I heard. I was so scared to move but I finally fell asleep and blamed it on the fact that I was tired. Shortly thereafter maybe a couple of weeks... I couldn't sleep, my children had been asleep for several hours and had not moved..

And I know this because we all sleep together. I went to the bathroom and my cabinets were open. There are many cabinets and I about had a heart attack. In addition on several occasions the doors would be shut in the morning and I know 100 percent it couldn't have been my children.
I hear everything when I sleep, most especially my children's every movement because they both had respiratory issues when they were babies so I am conditioned to hear every little thing. I will never forget the man's voice saying ''shhhh'' and the cabinets being open...Was epic.
I totally freaked out, I was crying and trying to call everyone I knew but most of the men in my church lived in Lake Mills... And my husband wasn't due home until March. I ended up calling my kids' aunt and praying with her on the phone.
