I have lived in Alhambra my whole life. I attended Alhambra New Douglas and Grantfork / Highland school district. The stories about the janitor that worked at New Douglas school is true. He did fall down the basement steps and die but the rumor of his haunting if false.
The teachers and staff would have a lock in every year to intentionally scare the children. Alhambra is a creepy little village. Not city. There are maybe 250 people in the entire town.

The most recent thing that happened was an older woman who hung herself.
She was suffering from Alzheimer's and was also ''seeing things'' around her

home from day to day. It was written into her will that after she hung herself her house was to be immediately bulldozed down.
She claimed the house held evil spirits and no one else should ever live there again.. Whether she was really seeing things or not nobody knows.... But why would a sweet 65 year old woman go outside her back porch and hang herself??? Come to Alhambra and find out! (;.
