We bought our home at the end of 2017. It was built in the 1970s and had one prior owner, a large family. Several months after moving in my daughter, age 14 at the time, saw a bottle of apple juice tip slightly on the counter then return back to a stable position. We figured she needed better glasses. stood over me. I thought it was my hubby and rudely said ''what?'' The figure seemed to sit down across from me, and it then just went 'poof' and was

not there. Many more months later I was awakened around 3 a.m. (I think) to humming in the hallway. My family was asleep. Finally my first grader son screamed bloody murder while brushing his teeth. I came running. He had seen a shadow of what he thought was a man in the hallway moving swiftly to the office.

Comment by Anonymous: I submitted the account of what happened, but I wanted to expand. My son has clarified that he couldn't see the top of the head, but the body was tall (of the shadow figure) and that it was more out of the side of his eye as he was facing the mirror. He didn't see the feet but could see the black shadow of the middle of the body for sure as it moved rapidly from the bedroom I was in (the cat was trying to get in the closet as I was getting my workout shirt). The figure went in the hallway past the open bathroom door where he was looking forward toward the sink vanity and bath mirror. It moved past him toward the office door.
He hurt his elbow slamming himself backward into the door he was in front of. He slept with me the first two nights after it happened. My daughter confirmed she saw something like it out of the corner of her eye downstairs while doing her high school homework in the evening, but she dismissed it as she didn't feel being frightened in the house. She wanted to pretend it was all in her head. She has told me whatever it is in the house is, in her words, not welcome. My husband wants to get rid of it and has never seen or heard anything, but he works a ton of hours from afternoon well into all hours of the night and sleeps most of the morning.
