I was born in East Aurora in 1977 and lived on Indian Ave. I would hear a loud man scream, and my brother once felt a presence sit on his bed while he was in the basement. If my memory is correct my mother said that the cabinet by the back door from the basement has no back. If you go in that cabinet, it would lead you underground to the back yard where if you go far enough it would lead you to the train tracks. Very spooky! I mentioned this to my teacher back in 1987 when I attended Oak Park Elementary School and she said that the path from the cabinet could have been from the 1800s to hide away slaves. I cannot confirm or deny that, but I moved away from that house back in 1992, but I will never forget it.

The Hesed House is haunted. It use to be the city's incinerator but is now converted into a homeless shelter. How do I know? I stay there. Weird things have happened. Flickering of the light switch in the woman's sleeping area and bathroom. The feeling of such great sadness and depression in that area as well.

I was also told it was built on top of a Native American Indian burial ground. How true that is I don't know cause I haven't done my research on it yet. I was also told it use to be an insane asylum, but like I said I have to do my research on it.
I know for a fact that something is not right with that place. Resident's have reported seeing ghosts, demons. I believe that Hesed House can not be cleaned because there is no exit for the demons and ghosts to go that are reported down in the women's sleeping area.

Comment by Raven: I am currently living here in hesed and have been for 7 weeks exactly and I've felt this intense energy there not just in woman's area and it's made me wonder if this location isn't got something attached to it I however have scene light flicker on an off outside with no one around.
